A 1981 UCF graduate, Ron started racing over 30 years ago (1975) with his family in a 1957 Porsche Speedster. He has won many titles, championships and races, such as the 2000 Daytona 24 hours, 2006 SCCA 13 Hr Enduro, 2003 HSR Historic Enduro Champion, SCCA National SDIV Champion in 1992 & 1996. He has the SCCA GT2 track record at Daytona, set in 1994 (still holding!). He also has had the track records at West Palm Beach fairgrounds, Roebling Road, Sebring Short track, Sebring 12 Hour course and Moroso Speedpark.
Zotz Racing travels to tracks east of the Missippi including Barber Motorsports Park, Carolina Motorsports Park, Daytona International Speedway, Sebring International Raceway, Moroso Speedpark, Road Atlanta, Virgina International Raceway, Watkins Glen, Road America, Mid Ohio, Homestead, Roebling Road, Limerock, Gingerman, Miller Motorsports Park (Utah).
Ron is the Track Orientation Instructor for HSR, as well as the Director of Instructor Training for the Florida Citrus Region PCA.
Ron currently ownes a 1970 914-6 Porsche, which he races in HSR, SCCA, SVRA, PCA and PBOC. He also co-drives in many of the Zotz Racing customer Porsches.
